8 TIMES STAGE TOWN SINCE 1995...
This will also be the 8th time since the summer of 1995 that the Aravis resort, which has been awarded the "Accueil Vélo" label, has hosted a stage of the Grande Boucle. Another highlight for Le Grand-Bornand will be, on the occasion of this 108th edition of the Tour de France, the opening of the always very spectacular - and awaited - alpine phase of the race, with its share of prestigious passes and other legendary roads, such as the Col de Romme - Col de la Colombière link-up, which will undoubtedly be one of the sporting highlights of this stage.
EXPLORING THE ROADS OF OUR TERRITORY...
This new hosting of the Tour reinforces the strong and intense "cycling culture" of Le Grand-Bornand, supported, among other things, by the dynamism of its Vélo-Club, organizer of successful races such as the cyclosportive "La Grand-Bo" or the cycle climb "Le Bouquetin".
A "cycling culture" also carried by the many cyclists who, all year round, travel the roads of this fabulous cycling destination that is the Annecy Mountains (Annecy, its lake and its mountains) with its remarkable passes (Aravis, Colombière, La Croix Fry, Glières, etc.) and its 1580 kilometres of signposted roads for cyclists.
