Special cancellation conditions COVID-19

About the COVID-19 and the general restrictions relating to it, Le Grand-Bornand Réservation has defined the present special cancellation conditions for the winter 2021/2022 which complete the general terms and conditions of sale, so that you can book your holiday with complete peace of mind and come and see us again this winter to enjoy the benefits of a holiday in the mountains.
 
> Cancellation by the customer
 
Le Grand-Bornand Réservation undertakes to refund all sums paid by the customer in the event of cancellation requested by the customer in the following cases:
  • The client, subscriber of the contract, live in a region (or country) where the confinement is in force until at least the day before your stay and prevents him from going to Le Grand-Bornand.
  • Travel restriction measures are imposed by the authorities of the region or country of the client subscriber of the contract, and prevents him from going to Le Grand-Bornand.
  • Obligation of fourteen for travellers coming from their country of residence are imposed by the French authorities concerning the country of the client, subscriber of the contract, and prevents him from going to Grand-Bornand. Restriction measures must always be in force the day before your stay. 
 Official proof will be required for any request for reimbursement.
 
In all other cases, the general cancellation conditions will apply.
 
Furthermore, in case of personal problems related to COVID-19 you have the possibility to subscribe to our optional cancellation/assistance/repatriation insurance (4% of the amount of the stay) which covers the following cases* :
  • You are in quarantine because you are COVID-19 positive,
  • You are ill with COVID-19 and cannot travel upon confirmation from your doctor,
  • A relative is seriously ill (hospitalisation/death),
  • Cancellation for denied boarding due to a temperature check.
* Refunds within the conditions of the cancellation insurance.

> Cancellation by Le Grand-Bornand Reservation

Le Grand-Bornand Réservation undertakes to refund all sums paid by the customer, excluding any compensation, in the event of cancellation by Le Grand-Bornand Réservation following an administrative decision imposing the closure of accommodation at Le Grand-Bornand for health reasons on the dates of the stay.

 >> Please note that the closure of all the ski lifts or certain activities usually open in winter closed or limited in use by administrative decision does not constitute grounds for compensation or cancellation without charge.
